Mt. Carmel Music - Student News
Uno Mas
Uno Mas. One more. I'm sure all of us have come to know this phrase very well. "One more time!" It's funny though, because whenever we hear this, we know that it's not just going to be one more time. We know that it means running a particular set over and over, playing a certain passage more than once, or doing whatever it is until it's done right. But during this time of the year, "one more" will really mean what it is...

First of all, I'd like to say good job to the Band and Guard for Saturday night. Vista Tournament was an awesome night for Mt. Carmel. After having a break from tournaments, our hard work seemed to pay off with Tournament and Music Sweepstakes! With that, there's only one more tournament to go to, Arcadia. Only one more week to make our show what it can truly be. One more chance to perform this awesome show we have. Now for the seniors, I'm sure this time of this particular season means a lot. One more Wednesday Night Rehearsal, one more bus trip, one more parade, one more Arcadia, one more visit to that infamous 99cents store, one more time putting that uniform on..forever! I know when I was a freshman, I never thought I'd get to that point in time where I would be in those seniors shoes, but here I am writing this article about my last week of marching ever. This marching season went by in a heartbeat, let alone these past four years. Probably the greatest lesson I've learned is to every time you do something, try your hardest and do your best. That might sound very cliché, but it really is true. With the amount of reps that we do in band, imagine just how amazing we'd be if we did that every time. We could be unstoppable. I hope everyone can apply this mindset to not just this last week of our season, but really to everything you do in life (This is why Band is so much more than music and marching!) If you were given only one more time to do something, you'd want that last time to be the best. Now we have just one more week left till Arcadia, we all know what we need to do, we just have to do it. We've asked you this before, but ask yourself again, just one more time, how will make the end of this season?
