We All Know It's Hot
Congratulations we all made it through Band Camp! Now we have to balance school with Wednesday night rehearsals, Saturday rehearsals, sectionals, and pass offs. The season just started and we're running drill downs and keep hearing let's run page 3 to page 5 again and again. Some seem to be losing their drive to keep pushing forward, just remember that the season goes by fast, and when we're at Arcadia or Fiesta Bowl, you're going to be saying "I wish I had that time back". Yes we all know it's hot, we all don't want to go back 4 counts, and we don't want to run that one set again because one person messed up. Why should we complain about something if we can't do anything about it? Stay focused and positive. Realize that each one of us sacrifice something to come to rehearsals or sectionals, especially our directors, coaches, and marching techs. Don't drag them down with an "oh my gosh again" or "UGH" attitude. Push and show our instructors that we're ready to work. Instead of moaning about how hot it is or giving someone the evil eye for missing a step off, give them support and help them out. MC none of us can control the weather but we can control how well rehearsals go. Push through and keep an open, positive mind and attitude. When we do we'll find that this season didn't come to strike us like a snake.
