Let's Make a Good First Impression
Yay! We've made it through our first football game last Friday and our first tournament show is just around the corner. As these days start to wind down, make every practice worth it. I know some of us get really tired and lazy because we don't want to be here, or it's too hot, or we've done this a million times and don't want to do it again. Keep in mind that your attitude can affect how you work and it can also affect another person's attitude and how they work. Band and guard are a team. If you're not focused and waste time, you're wasting the time that belongs to your instructors and the people around you. When we do sets over and over, it might not benefit you, but it could benefit someone else by helping them get to their set correctly. So be patient or even help someone, so when everyone suceeds, we can all move on. Every practice is worth it and shouldn't be wasted. After a show or run though, you're going to want that second, minute, or hour back after you wasted it during rehearsal. So remember to stay focused and positive. You're here at practice for a reason: it's because you love what you're doing and to carry on the Mt. Carmel Marching Sundevil legacy. When we step onto that field at the Westview tournament, let's show everyone how great our show is. Even though it's our first show, let's make a good first impression.
