Mt. Carmel Music - Student News
The Sun Never Sets...
To all of our friends and comrades both off the field and on,
The past couple of weeks have been interesting to say the least. Two weeks ago most of us down here in So Cal awoke to smoke filled air, stinging eyes, and reverse 911 calls. However, no matter how bad that week was, we must consider ourselves lucky. For we are blessed to have a family greater than most. Yes, much to our disappointment, the 31st Annual Mount Carmel Tournament of Bands was a no-go this year, but out of that came generosity beyond measure. We have received donations, from numerous groups and fellow bands throughout our area, and they have been greatly appreciated, not only by our booster organization, but to us as students. All the support we have received from those far and near has been valued highly too all of us and displays what kind of "family" this truly is. Our hearts go out to our sister schools of Rancho Bernardo and Poway and for any of them to whom might have been devastated by these fires. May they pull through these tough times as well. As for the Marching Sundevils, we have been back to the field and hitting it hard this past week competing at Mira Mesa this past week and heading on to Vista and Chula Vista. Having only two weeks left in the season, the show must go on, so we are pushing it harder than ever to that final ringing note. With that we hope to see you on the field or in the stands. Wherever you may be...remember that even through the flames...the Sun Will Never Set...because its great ...to be a Sundevil.
